Community Connections

Hello Twin Creeks neighbors, I am Jennifer Gilles. I live in Brookstone and work at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IU Indianapolis.

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his call for service to the community, I am working on a personal service project to collect nonperishable food items and personal hygiene products for Paws’ Pantry. Paws’ Pantry offers free food to IU Indianapolis students, staff, and faculty struggling with food insecurity. (The IU Indianapolis campus mascot is a Jaguar, and thus, the “Paws” Pantry.)

Items most needed at this time:

  • Pasta, Ramen noodles, gluten free pasta, pasta sauce
  • Rice
  • Tortillas
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Soups and canned veggies
  • Pancake mix and oatmeal
  • Shampoo and conditioner
  • Deodorant
  • Body wash
  • Toothpaste

If you would like to contribute, you can either:

  • drop off your donation at 5150 Brookstone Way (not Brookstone Lane). I will have a box on my porch Thursday, January 15, through Monday evening, January 20.

OR

  • you can text me your address at 317-440-4395 and I will pick up your donation on Monday, January 20. You can leave your donation on your porch (with my name on it).

I will take all donations to the IU Indianapolis campus on Tuesday morning.
